Actually, if more mad scientists were engineers there were be a higher percentage of successful plots.

Luckily, we're not a dating service.

"I met my husband/wife on Oppositelock." "What?"

That would be awesome but somehow I don't see that happening.

They'd at least be more focused on the practical application of mad plots rather than te theoretical. As for more successful, I think the doomsday device would get swamped in design changes and never make it off the drawing board.

But engineers wouldn't spend all day lecturing about the plot, the reason why they hate the hero and how they will die. They'd just off him and move to the next item on the checklist.

I met my girlfriend through my car club which is pretty much online only.

Excellent point. It would be an email with a bulleted list followed by real bullets.

Yeah but the gun would only work in CAD because the stackups were incorrectly calculated and the FEA analysis wasn't complete due to cost overruns. production would work around the design impossibilities and send the actual data to the DRE group for print updates that wouldn't be added due to the build schedule timing being behind leaving the documentation to be doctored due to the supplier being unable to admit failure to the customer as the cost would be astronomical to enact the fix because they are design responsible. Multiple updates and robustness improvements would be made after to compensate for the initial problem instead of changing the part that caused the issue. All the hand held products would weigh aruond a 1932 Buick and be considered WMDs due to the size.

Then the QA department would come in, wipe everything with scotchbrite and burnishing pads to take the slight sharp edge off that was causing the issue in the first place, shoot the engineers and spend half the night filling out the paperwork giving everyone else credit for contributing while they are all tucked up at home 5 minutes after the shift bell goes off.

Just me then?

I don't know why but I get the impression you work in QA?
